I do.

Whilst trying to fully grasp the condition of 'nothing' it makes me wonder if time itself is a loop. Those who say there is nothing when we give up our body's makes me ponder on what nothing actually is.

think of "nothing" as the ultimate "boring"

"[big]nothing[/big]" is a monstrously huge and empty warehouse

filled to the top with "quiet", "darkness" and "boring".
@Th1nkF1rst: I think of "nothing" being some sort of void where nothing exists. In which case, nothing would be 'something' that would be nothing. No, I'm not playing with words, I'm simply saying that it's easy to say there is nothing without thinking into the literal meaning of the word.

and that is why your name is "justbychance" lol
@LindaM: :p ... could be ... haha
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
if you're "in" nothing and recognize it
then there is No nothing
because you have conceived something as being nothing
so the now something, that was nothing, now exists!

@Justbychance: lol...nothing is meaningless..change is everything
LindaM · 61-69, F
oh im wrong because if there is nothing how could there be change..it all makes sense somehow ahah
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Th1nkF1rst: you guys are smart, thats exactly right
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
@LindaM:

nothing isn't there!

nothing doesn't exist!

or is that a double negative,
so that would mean that nothing exists!!!!

I'm confused.
wake me up later,
unless nothing happens.

@Th1nkF1rst: nothing does = something which is a whole lot of nothing but it still exists as energy? and there has to be an equal to nothing which is something? i think hahaha
@Th1nkF1rst:
if you're "in" nothing and recognize it
then there is No nothing
The equation is flawed. I can think of no place I have been where I am fully aware that I am 'in nothing' because no such place exists (that we know of) and yet that doesn't prove that it doesn't exist. If ever I had, I wouldn't be replying here because I would become a part of what nothing is and as such would have no mortal frame.

[Edit for typo]

if it is "definable" then there's No Way it can be NOTHING!

energy in Not Nothing, otherwise well nothing would work!
and if Nothing Works then it's gotten be Something!
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Justbychance: what is the conclusion? nothing means something? thats what i think..lol...nothing last forever everthying else fades away lol
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
@Justbychance: Then there's Absolutely Nothing

Nothing is a figment of the imagination, but even figments are Something!
LindaM · 61-69, F
it all makes perfect sense lol
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
@LindaM: Quite true! you've got it!

Nothing lasts Forever!
thus, Forever is FULL of Nothing!
Forever can't exist!

Soooooo, the Original question: "Do you believe in forever?"

Has the answer, [big]NO![/big]

because Forever is Nothing and doesn't exist; because it is [big]just Nothing![/big]
@LindaM: Something (ultimately) becomes nothing. 'Nothing' existed before the big-bang, and yet from the big-bang ALL things in life exist. Something had to create the very beginning of existence and however we might choose to view that, then at the very beginning there had to be a void (nothingness) in order for the elements to come together.

You want to make soup? You take a pan with nothing inside, pour water into it and add the ingredients. What was in the pan when you took it from the cupboard? :)
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Justbychance: yes exactly what i was saying the whole time!...nothing last forever..the original question was, does anything last forever and the answer is nothing last forever and that is the only thing that lasts forever lol
aliens · 36-40, F
You guys, the question actually is, "Do you believe in forever?", as in, in love.

Looks like things took an interesting turn.
LindaM · 61-69, F
yes and I said nothing last forever lol..@aliens:
@LindaM: hahahaha. How true :o But then again 🤔 (me-thinkest we exhausted all the options here ;) ... LOL

[Edit for Typo] Doh!
