What does it mean when I don't text my boyfriend for a day and he misses me?

So I didn't text him for a whole day and then the next day he text me and said hey I missed you yesterday, you didn't text me, and then when we met he gave me a lot of kisses and said he missed me. He also said that when I don't text him he thinking that something might have happened to me.
