Someone help me with the dating tips?

What should I do on first date? Typical things to do? How do I know if I can kiss her at the end of date before saying bye?
Give me as much advice you can, both from guys and girls. I am like Ted from 'How I met your mother', sweet, caring and responsible but really not good at dating a girl. Thanks in advance.

I never wanted to be kissed on first date. I find that very awkward if I don't wanna see him again. Wait till she shows interest on later dates. A kiss on the cheek maybe, and a thank you. Talk about herrrrr don't talk about you. People love to talk about themselves and it makes them feel good when people are interested. Ask her questions about whatever she's talking about. Give her a compliment too, but don't over do it.

thats a good idea to talk and ask about her. And to be honest I am bad at reading signals when she asks for a kiss? what are the usual signals.. if staring at me is one signal then I will certainly miss it.

@FindRyhan: she enjoys being with you, agrees to another date or a third date, smiles a lot, is comfy sitting right next to you. That's if she's a shy kind of person. Sometimes she might touch your hand to nudge you when ur laughing together...sometimes she might not know if she wants to kiss you till she kisses you and likes it!

And again, I can't emphasize enough, DONT go on and on and on about you. NOTHING is more boring about going on a date and listening to him take me on a tour of his life. It's ok to tell her a story if u share something in common or if she asks, but then stop there.

I just want a emotional touch of being with someone or to be honest just to live in the moment when I am with her it doesnt matter we kiss at the end or not, but if we kiss each other it will be because we liked each other and cherise the moment in a kiss. It doesnt mean the kiss is a pre signal before going to bed and doing it. It will take significant number of dates before a kiss is start of the subsequent sex.
