Honesty! Dishonesty will breakup such a relationship faster than anything else.
Most will probably argue this. Yet monogamous relationships don't need complete honesty. Many times you can slip up here and there and still have a relationship.
Not so in a poly relationship. There's always someone else to fall back on even if one of them doesn't.
If a monogamous relationship depended on honesty there wouldn't be such a thing. Most, not all, are not honest. And probably why the divorce rate is so high.
Hopefully some day they will fully realized this.

I'm not into open relationships. I'm not keen on poly either. If I were in a poly relationship, it would have to be polyfidelity. Even then I'm not too keen on the idea. I'm monogamous by nature.
