Which version do you like?

I love the song so I like both but I think I prefer the original a little more.
@katielass: same here. Duane Allman played slide on that song

@Lonelybutneveralone: I didn't realize that. I also loved, LOVED, the Allman Brothers Band. One Way Out. So many more but that was probably my favorite. This reminds me, I need to switch out the CD's in my car.
@katielass: one way out is one of my all time favorites. I can play Dickie Betts and Duane Allman's parts

@Lonelybutneveralone: oh yeah, good old Dickie. Have you ever listened to any of Greg alman's stuff? I had one Cd of his, the one with I'm No Angel (love that) but I must have left it in the Cd player when I sold my last car. I just have the case. damn! IT was a great CD, more bluesy.
@katielass: yes I have. I like the remake of midnight rider. Dickie came and vacationed on Pensacola Beach where I'm from
katielass · F
wow. he must be pretty old now.
@katielass: yes, I know Duane was older than Greg, and born about 1947? Dickie was born in 1943?
katielass · F
God, he;d be 73? well, all the really good ones are pretty old. Once they're gone....
@katielass: yes, he was on December 12. Musicians I grew up with are dying off.
katielass · F
No offense to the younger ones but is there anyone whose music lives on past their momentary popularity?
@katielass: I believe people like Elvis,The Beatles and much of the original rockers made such an impression, they live on but nothing these days makes an original statement. A lot of music is a remake of older songs
katielass · F
Yeah, that's probably true.
@katielass: music back then had major influences
katielass · F
Oh for sure.
