Do you think a Marriage License should have an expiration date with an option to renew?

I think some people already do that with marriage contracts.
It's not the same as a license, and I don't know how they manage the vagaries of tax, property, children etc - but probably the same laws as apply to de facto relationships would apply to the contracts.
