Just think whilst you're obsessing over someone, someone could be obsessing over you who you have never thought of like that.
I do sometimes wonder why my posts come up on people's feeds who I have nothing to do with.

Yes, on facebook, I get suggestions to connect with friends of friends. I never do it. But some people will act on every suggestion, because they simply want to have as many friends as possible, even if they never chat with them.
Then again, maybe your explanation is simpler: they're obsessed with you :)
