It wasn't the words, but a man's reaction.

I was pretty young (maybe 7yo) at my friend's hunting cabin. A grasshopper landed on my finger and freaked me out. I flicked it into the fire (purposely :-( ). My friend's dad got so angry and scolded me about how to treat creatures.

Earlier that day, he was out there with a rifle waiting to shoot a deer. His friend got one and I saw him dress a deer. Congratulations all around.

I could have argued the man's words. I could have asked about how the deer was different than the grasshopper. But his anger and my evaluation of all of the day's events taught me a lot about life and man that day.

Don’t pee in the corner where the opportunity to succeed is. Sometimes accept the authority for long term happiness, than starting a fight and being at war forever.
