Is cheesy compliments not worth

For example:
I can't help notice how beautiful you are.
My heart forced my legs to walk up to you.
When I saw you my heart started racing.
And all other straight forward things I can think of. I am not very smart at making very much thoughtful or sporty comments. I just express my feelings as they are and get reply : you are so cheezy.
