Many reasons. Financial independence and a good circle of friends and family that can support you are important. Focusing on work ,rebuilding your life ,strengthening relationships you might have neglected while married etc. Theres many coping mechanisms. It really depends on the person and your resources

@PepsiColaP Actually because they married the wrong person and they don't understand commitment... I know because I have been married to the same person twice as long as you have been alive..
@masterofyou lol ok man. There is no such thing as married to the wrong person. Maybe at the time they were the right person and so were you but over time someone or both changed and grew to be incompatible. There are many reasons why people get married. Some are socially pressured to by family and friends or the culture they grow up in. Some because they have children. Some for financial gains. You cant generalise everyones experience based on yours. And I have been married too. I have some experience on the matter

@PepsiColaP I'm 75 I have been married to the same woman for 46 years we dated for 5 year she became ill with Multiple Sclerosis 2 years after our first was born 44 years ago I have been her caregiver to this day.. Good luck to you little girl...

@BlueRain I didn't marry the wrong person things just didn't work out for us I still love here and take care of her that's what real men do.. They protect and take care of their partners.. Still married... And love her ..
