Why do people always want that "thrill" of entering a new relationship?

Like that "honey moon" phase people talk of.

It feels great. But once it wears off... it's meh

@JupiterDreams and how would it wear off?
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@scooogy After you've been together a while and have gotten used to each other, the newness wears off. That's why you gotta spice it up sometimes imo

@JupiterDreams over a year after getting to know my crush, I still got my heart racing when I saw her.

@scooogy But if you were in a real relationship with her, things would eventually slow down. Then you gotta try to keep the romance alive.

@JupiterDreams Her and I talk about my bachelor thesis quite often lately, and I plan on doing my master's this or next year as well. Also, I plan on getting to know about her profession in economics as soon as my bachelor thesis is done and I can concentrate on that.

@scooogy That's good but like I said... if you were in an official relationship as boyfriend/girlfriend (say after a year), things would even out and you'd have to keep the spark going.
