I agree. I have experienced all that first hand and I learned to keep my feelings in the dump now. I'm more cold now than I used to be. I can't empathize for people but I prefer to keep a guard up.
Thank you so much for this post. I really am sorry you had to deal with someone like that as well. It hurts really bad and I guess its a lesson for all of us in the end.

@Beatbox34I am sorry for you too.It is totally normal to be cold and guarded up.It is initial stage of your healing. But guess what? The person who has caused you heartache do not have any remorse.They just use people.They see us as an object.It is not easy for a healthy human beings like us to even imagine that.
I know you are angry, sad and feeling numb. I hope eventually you see, how amazing you are. You have a big heart that's the very reason you got used.But sometimes, we may have unhealed childhood wounds like i have mentioned above, which needed to be resolved inorder to lead a healthy, beautiful life.

@CHARARE I agree with every word you said. That's what makes them narcissists in the first place because they lack empathy and have remorse for their actions. I know it now that I was used. I mean I knew it much earlier but was manipulated to feel I wasn't. Actions speak louder than words and in the due course of time I realized what was true.
In time, I may heal but these people really play a number on the people they prey. I have a lot of pain in my heart and I know it won't last forever.

@Beatbox34 😞 I understand how you feel right now.It is not easy for us to do the same to anyother human beings.They are energy vampires.They have so many supplies to keep them occupied.But in contrary we are old fashioned people, who would like to remain loyal even when we know the other person is not loyal at all.I am so sorry. Divert yourself.Make yourself busy. The more we think about them, the more intense the pain is. After all our soul have gone through, we really don't deserve to be sad all the time.
