I wish I could date a Caucasian girl again.

Sure, I'd date different women of different ethnic background, but I still prefer Caucasian women. Too much to ask? Maybe. Is it racist? No. Whoever thinks otherwise doesn't get it. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Everyone has preferences so I don't think it's racist unless your preference is due to a strong dislike for black women or women of other races.

I prefer dark eyed brunettes but would consider others, so that obviously would not make me racist.

Interracial dating can be difficult depending on your location. I've only dated a few black women but I live in St. Louis which is one of the most racist cities in the country.

@Dominus I honestly didn't know Missouri was like this. I bet it was hard to date down there.

@xSiFiGamer2016x I'd say that overall Missouri is much worse for this as a lot of Missouri is rural areas with nearly zero black populations. St. Louis is the most violent city in the country and one of the most racists. I am not that familiar with Kansas City Missouri but do believe it is more cultured. But I think the vast majority of black Missourians are from one of these two cities.

Even with black friends and colleagues there are certain places we don't go together. There are areas that are extremely accepting, but few.

@xSiFiGamer2016x It isn't hard to date here but it is hard to date interracially because there are so many predominantly black clubs and predominantly white clubs. So you're unlikely to meet in the first place assuming you are both interested in dating interracially.

Actually there are a lot of mixed clubs that cater to younger people than myself. At least I feel awkward in them but there are always those who don't fit well and are much older than the average.

@Dominus I'd rather not go to St. Louis, then. My luck wouldn't be that great. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@xSiFiGamer2016x Honestly I never recommend anyone visit this area unless they are familiar with it and have reason to do so. There are many great things about the area and many very nice regions but there are also streets you cannot drive down at night without a good likelihood of being shot at. It is not difficult to just be driving, make a wrong turn and end up in a dangerous area.

There is a region called University City or the Delmar Loop that is very progressive, mostly private university students and I would recommend that as much as anywhere here.

The interracial clubs that cater to those younger also have problems with violence at times. It is just a bad place to live and more dangerous if you are unfamiliar with it. One of the ten safest communities in the country is in St. Louis as is one of the wealthiest.

Seattle, Denver, Chicago would all be better options.

@Dominus I've been to those cities before. Out of all of them, Seattle would be the best choice. But that's crazy how one city can have a diversity problem or something. It's like you can't be free to explore a different race for an interracial relationship. Very petty for a city.

@xSiFiGamer2016x While it is very racist it is the violence that is the larger problem. It only takes a few agitators to continue to perpetuate stereotypes. When Michael Brown was killed I went to the protests. They were peaceful, initially. Then outside criminals starting arriving posing as protesters and trying to blend in. Within a week you weren't very welcome there if you were white. And Ferguson was the beginning of BLM.

@Dominus Damn, that's unsettling, disturbing, and just... Downright prejudice. I couldn't imagine being there and get caught while being a person of different color. Some things won't change.
Dominus · 31-35, M
@xSiFiGamer2016x I was raised here and remember how bad things use to be as far as racial animosities. Things have changed and will continue to get better.
There will always be some racism but nothing like today or in history. The younger generations, your generation, most of my own generation is refusing to continue the horrid tradition.
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@Dominus And I'm glad that every generation should lessen the racism and to understand that all people are equal. Whether we date the same race or a different one because of skin color, we shouldn't be treated like animals and segregation is a huge problem. Not much of a problem than it was years ago, but still a thing that we gotta keep watch. If people won't change, neither will their words about racism. I hope, though, that you can live through this for many years to come. 👍
