Is SW a good place to meet new people?

Heard about this site and was wondering about how it works. If you are a regular user have you met people on here for chat, friendship, or more?

@TBIman 😊 well, you are right there, for sure... i guess it depends on what you want. look at groups that interest you, look at group members' comments, see if there's anything you want to add.

it's a great place for butting in to conversations. might be rude face to face, but here is ok if you have something pertinent or amusing to say.
