What should you do to keep a long distance relationship alive ?

I.e. Other than visits, gifts, letters and video chats. What can you do to show your affection ?

Communication is important. Also giving each other space sometimes, it can be easy to get paranoid and clingy when they are far away, you don't want your imagination filling in the gaps.
