Are you secretly disgusted by people who return to abusive (romantic) partners?

I have a friend that constantly complains about how narcissistic, sadistic and emotionally and mentally abusive his ex-wife, (who he married and is twice divorced from) is, tell me she is the cause of his anxiety, depression & debt--only for him to move into a house with her and her five children after three months of no-contact.🤔@Thanos
