Who always believed in Disney Fairytales when it came to relationships??

I am very guilty as charged and I paid for it dearly. I want to believe that life doesn’t work like that but still deep down that kid still sees life like a Disney fairytale and now I know the pain that goes with thinking like that but I am okay with it.

It's always good to believe in miracles...only then they come true.

Just nothing lasts forever because we change everyday.

Yea I was a dumb fucking kid. Only snapping out of the stupidity now.
I think it's making me asexual.

If I want kids I'll probably use a turkey baster.

@SW-User I lived in a dysfunctional home I watched Disney up until my teens to escape.
Now I'm in therapy I'm remembering a lot of the stuff I used to do to 'escape'... Pretended things were fine a lot.

I remember once a girl stopped being friends with me because she said I was pathological. She didn't believe I had a dad because my behaviour was odd and she never saw him. One day my dad picked me up from school I've never seen a jaw drop so fast. Funny thing was though people were clearly picking up on odd behaviour but couldn't pin point what it was.

@Peppa I know exactly what you mean because i too was raised in a dysfunctional home and the television was my escape. It's only in my latter years that I've learned the effects of too much television on a young developing mind. Now a lot of things make sense and i have a plenty of fixing myself to do. I've made good progress though.

@SW-User that's good and the most important.
I'm too honest.
There were and have been so many lies in life that I'm overly honest. Like even things I don't even need to be so honest about

Well, we're trained to believe it from a young age. If i had kids I'd never allow that nonsense around them.

@Spoiledbrat Thats good.

@Chataholic I'd rather spend time with them doing something far more constructive than watch that nonsense honestly, but i get your point.

Aww...thank you for BA. 💙🤗

No. I grew up with the understanding that Disney was entertainment. Just like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck weren’t real, neither was any other aspect of it.
