Soul similarity is deeper. I think 'kindred spirits' is the description most are familiar with when describing similar souls.

@flamewolf454 Sometimes souls recognize each other despite personality or circumstance, whether the same or opposite... it doesn't matter.
If one finds a similar soul connection, and that is what they want and value most, then personality will likely not get in the way. In my experience, it's the deepest and most rewarding kind of relationship to have. But others are not too interested in souls, so personality type would play a more important role I think.
I agree that one can learn from a personality different than their own. But one can also learn from a similar personality as it is often like looking at oneself.

@flamewolf454 Often the carnality of our existence is the driving force in relationships. But to know a soul... a connection, a knowing, where no words are needed... it goes beyond the carnal. And yet ironically, intensifies the physical intimacy in a relationship.
