If someone talks about dieting, should the other worry about them cheating?

Just wondering what you think about this?

That kind of thinking is what caused me and my ex-husband a lot of problems. I would gain weight and diet and walk miles every day to lose it. Got to the point I would do it secretly because he was so damned hostile towards me and would sabotage my efforts every way he could, bringing sweets and other foods into the house or insisting we go out to some fattening restaurant for meals. And then when he'd notice I was losing weight he'd start acting hostile towards me, degrading me. I wasn't losing weight to find someone else, I was doing it for my own health and to fit into my clothes. I don't know how men can be so damn self-centered and shallow-minded.

Please change "men" into people, then I agree.

@MartinTheFirst: Honestly Martin I've never heard a married woman complain about her husband losing weight and getting healthy. Not here in this country. If anything most will try to encourage them, and the men will sneak fattening foods despite it. What women will notice is that if a man is starting to upgrade his hygiene routines when he could have cared less about it before, buying a nice cologne, showering more often, buying a lot of new clothing or whatever.

@cherokeepatti: if a tree were to fall in the forest and no one were there to observe it, doest that mean it didnt fall?
