Are interracial relationships still that taboo in this day and age?

99% of the men I message on the dating site outside my race never seem to respond.

There's still an often an awful lot of racial hypocrisy surrounding interracial relationships here in the uk.

Asian men with white women - no problem, they're everywhere you look, and have been for decades.

Asian woman with a white male? I'm 68 and still to see such a couple.

@ThePerfectUsername wow that seems so odd to me, maybe because there are many Asians living here in the U.S. and I grew up around so many and have dated many. One of my first girlfriends was Korean.

@Danez I imagine the same thing happens all over the world. Just substitute "white" and "asian" for whatever nationalities apply to your area. In the place I lived for most of my life the asians in question were 2nd and 3rd generation Pakistani immigrants still living with their parents and grandparent and pretty much bound by the old customs. Local white girls were viewed as "fair game" for Pakistani youths - but Pakistani girls were accompanied by substantial dowries if delivered "intact" to potential Pakistani husbands and it was the older generation who paid that dowry so they were still very much in control of who their girls associated with. No virginity = shame on the entire family - so they watch their girls like hawks but let the boys run riot. It's all extremely unhealthy.

@ThePerfectUsername lol fair enough. Like you say, different places in the world are partial to their own kind.
