Is it normal for someone to change churches for their spouse?

Like say a Christian joins a Catholic church and becomes Catholic because their spouse is Catholic.

Between Catholics and Protestants, it's quite common. That's because they are both Christian, although Catholics do some things that Protestants don't do (such as praying to Mary and the saints).
