What is the biggest age gap (higher or lower) that you would date?

I had a conversation with a friend who said there is a formula. Take the older person's age, divide by 2, add 7. So a 36 year old could date a 25 year old (36/2 = 18 + 7 =25). What age difference do you feel comfortable with?

@YukikoAmagi Well, the way I first heard this formula, it was used to describe the youngest person one could date and still be "socially acceptable." So, in my case, as a 25 year old, I could in theory date someone 19-20 and not raise too many eyebrows in my social circle.

Fortunately for me, my girlfriend and I are the same age so there is no issue.
