What would you think if your significant other rarely calls you?

Im very busy and not needy but sometimes I look up and its been 2 days since my spouse has called me. ( we are frequently apart due to my travel) #1 I think its a safety issue. Im globe trotting hustling for dollars while he sits at home or at our investment property waiting on deliveries. What if a stranger stabs me. How long before he would realize?
I usually call him several times per day but if I stop the calls stop too.

Depends on the situation. I would have liked a sign of life occasionally, but in general I'd be fine with the occasional breathing space. Some smaller periods of not actively talking together. I do need a bit of room and a bit of downtime every now and then to avoid overload, and there is a certain chance a potential partner would be the same.

If I weren't satisfied with the situation (like feeling my partner didn't reach out enough) I'd talk to my partner about it.
