The shorter the relationships in the beginning, the more desperate the dating later in life?

From a personal standpoint, I must say no. I've never been in a relationship and I am not desperate at all to have one. Most of the ones I have witnessed have ended terribly for one of the people. Dire straits financially. Losing their homes and/or cars...no thank you.

@scooogy Nah. Most people I know never got married. I will say a lot of those times drugs were involved. So, bank accounts were emptied, cars stolen...lots of other things stolen...

@Myzery one of my exes grew addicted to alcohol. The others are mainly low-waged mothers, if not single parents.
