When he tells you you are attractive or (very) but not pretty or beautiful...what does this mean? Men: is it just an adjective? Woman: do you find it insulting?

@Carissimi I was just asking opinions, I've always been told I was pretty by partners, maybe he'll say it. It really doesnt matter,I was just wondering what others thought about that word.
If someone told me I was attractive, I’d take it as a compliment. Same goes if they said, “pretty,” or “beautiful.” However, if someone said to me how you wrote it in your post, I’d be hurt because it’s like giving a compliment with a backhanded insult at the same time. Just my opinion. @Gemini16
@Carissimi no, I wrote that wrong! I understand the confusion now! I meant he doesnt call me pretty or beautiful. He says I'm attractive. Or I look beautiful, (one time) LOOK, NOT ARE!!!
Okay, now I get your meaning. Thanks for the clarification. Well, I can only think he finds you very attractive. Other than this, I don’t know what it means. Probably nothing. @Gemini16
