Well that depends on where the date takes place. If you are meeting in a restaurant, the natural subject will be about food and then can be extended to do you enjoy cooking / are you a fussy eater etc. This can then naturally lead onto family e.g. who is the best cook in your family etc. This then naturally leads onto many other subjects, e.g. where do your family live, how often do you see them etc.
Always best to start off with light-hearted subjects such as music and film; subjects like politics and religion should be left until you both feel comfortable enough.
@LukeTheDuke Thank you! I think I will be ok for conversation, I don't know, I was thinking of a good 'would you rather' or a weird fact or something 'just in case'.
Ah I see. Well a site like this has little fun facts that might help, e.g. not many people know that YouTube actually started of as a dating website. https://www.thefactsite.com/dating-facts/
Well, I hope by replying here everyone who answered gets a notification because a couple asked to be kept updated. Monday was amazing, we left the restaurant and stayed together a while afterwards, still talking. We arranged another date for later in the week and went out for dinner on Friday too! She stayed over and we're doing baking today 🤣

She stayed the night ? Thing have progressed nicely then x@annamk
Remember that like you, she will be spending a lot of time before you meet on what she wears and how she looks... So take the time to notice and tell her honestly what is attractive about her to you..

Just have a casual conversation. Be nice and sweet. Don't rush untill she feels comfortable.
@ekwalizur 🤷♀️ I was when I made it lol To be honest I could write a whole essay on my dating life and discovering my preferences. It's a recent move for me to be embracing attraction to the same sex.
