It can happen to anyone. It has happen to me and most of my friends at least once. Only one of the guys was married. The rest were in long term relationships / had kids with their primary girlfriends.

@REMsleep how'd you find out he had a double life?

@iamnikki long story..I was blinded by his looks. I thought he was outta my league. On the phone daily.Happy hour with classsmates. Walking me to my car at University but then mysteriously dissapearing for 2 or 3 days without calling. I was desperate to appear chill so I never meantioned to him about it why he didn't contact me sometimes.
Then after cpl months he was distraught telling me that he got fired for stealing some money from his job to pay for abortion for "a girl he slept with" who he used to date off and on but they had a terrible final break up a while back and she just now tell him she was pregnant. I should have dumped him right there. I helped him pay his job back to avoid prosecution. It wasn't alot. He tells me he never had support and kindness like me. We proceed to kick it all summer. He was so charming, popular, charismatic. Concerts, movies, day trips, parties, talking all night long laughing. Finally after 4 more months dating he says " damn why'd we have to happen, I wish things were different for me".
I thought he meant because he couldn't be everything I deserved because of the whole stealing joblessness thing.
He tells me that the girl never got her abortion and his family was pressuring him to be a good Christian. Then I see some blonde hair on his jacket, once in his beard.
I still wasnt 100% understanding. A few weeks later he stopped having his car.(it was her car) And then he just became open about that he was "supportive of her".
He started treating me like shit emotionally (because he felt bad) and even having me to drop him at her house or her parents house without my knowing where I was dropping him. I would park down the street and he would literally run out the car.
He never admitted 100% he was back with her. It was a slow revelation and I later found that they had 10 years of history at that time and she was only like 26 so he'd been with her off and on for basically her entire life. We were never officially boyfriend/girlfriend but we were to his family and his friends. Everyone knew me AND her. I felt sick.
I felt like a zombie. I'm the only one who knows that I took him to the hospital to see his baby be born. He wouldnt even talk to me that whole way.
I ended up ghosting him cold turkey while he was semi ignoring me to deal with his new baby.
Sadly I got back together with him 2 more times later in my life. The baby always hated me and did bite me once she got older. Lol

@REMsleep I had a big LOL at the last sentence, sorry.
But wow, that is a crazy story. I hate when people can't just be upfront about who and what they want. Why drag things out. I doubt that relationship he has will last either. It was probably rocky from the start.
I think that's wht they mean when they say 'love is blind'.
Did you know the girl too?
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@iamnikki Nah didn't know her but shes happily married now to someone else, not him. She seems really sweet just like I was. Im married now too.

@REMsleep yay, Happy endings 😃
