Have you ever been in a relationship where your partner belittled you?

Yes still in the realtionship its been 2 years now. Every time he comes home from work he has something to say... words kill

There isn't an easy solution in my experience. It's lack of respect. Some are just literally too stupid to understand the concept. I've found it takes something really shocking to bring someone around.
Therapy might help.

Yes.... after years of being stupid and putting up with it, I left.

No. I would never be with someone who didn’t value me. I’d just leave.

I explained for 20 years that I didn't like it and it wasn't nice - then I left.

I don't recommend being that patient.

No. The first nasty comment and I was gone. Life is way too short to choose to be with someone emotionally abusive.

Yes. A few. All were brief except for my marriage, which developed the smart aleck side of me while it lasted. He was not a bad man, but like a lot of people he let his own insecurities mess things up.

Yeah, I pointed out their crap... the ones that could handle it, I said longer, the ones that couldn't, I got out of that relationship quickly
