I don't know about these people, tbh. If you're in a position where you're proposing to someone and you're ready to marry them, how could it be awkward if they say no? How could you just discontinue the relationship and not wait for the person to be ready for it, too? You love them, that's why you asked them to be in a relationship. How can you just walk away when they say they don't want to get married at that moment in their life? Lol. More than that, how could it be awkward or a strain on the relationship if you both understand each other and have a healthy relationship?
