Have you ever given a bf (or gf) a really expensive Christmas present and then they broke up you and you regretted giving them that gift?

When I work in general reservations for the airline quite a few people called up and said I need to change the name on a ticket because I bought this for my girlfriend and now we broke up and I would have to say that it was not possible.
