Is it really that unusual?

For people to say this?
My husband and I split last year in April 2018. We both found new partners very quickly and despite it being a huge shock to my ex, we are now both blissfully happy. We told our child that we were separating in July 2018 and introduced the new partners in January of this year. He is 8 years old and has been absolutely fine throughout all of this. In fact, although me and his dad never fought in front of him and seemed very happy, he still says he is pleased we have split as it means he gets to meet lots of new people through our partners.
He gets lots of presents at Christmas and birthdays and is a very happy child. My friends keep telling me how lucky I am that it has all worked out so well and that our child has accepted everything from the start and given us no problems. Is it really that unusual?

Yes. It is out of the norm.
