Love is a commitment to do whatever it takes to protect and nourish the bond you have with someone. It doesn't matter whether it's love for a man woman or even a child. You simply do whatever it takes to make the relationship flourish. If you don't know how to do something you find out, if differences occur you strive to find a way to resolve them in a manner that honours both of you. Love is forever, it's not there just to make you happy till you get bored one day and decide to move on to someone else.

It takes a lot of hard work but if you find someone who reciprocates the rewards are amazing. I'll have been married to the same woman for 47 years in a couple of weeks. Not all of it happy by a long shot but we're closer now than we've ever been. 🤗 @Ninazobi

Part of that particular trick for me was realising I'd done things that needed forgiving too. Not always the case of course, but to my mind if offering and asking for genuine forgiveness gets you nowhere they probably never commited in the first place. @SteelHands
