How do guys react to a friend dating their sister?

In my family, when one of us chose a partner, everybody else stayed out of the relationship and welcomed that person.

When I got married, I learned later my two older brothers took my groom aside and said, "We like you. She better not come home crying."

I read about a student who took her grandpa as her prom date. I think it’s just awesome.
