I keep getting told I'm a homophobe. How do I change this perception of me?

There's no such thing actually. It's just a made up word to target anyone who doesn't agree with or adhere to the orthodoxies of the current pro-homosexual agenda pushed by politicians and advocates. You should be cautious though, as some people will become unreasonably enraged just for you stating a differing opinion. I disagree about them showing more love than other groups, but I won't attack you for it. Their supporters might though if it was a 'negative' comment.
