@SW-User Intelligence fades too. Progressively more quickly after the late 20s. Fluid intelligence fades, but crystal intelligence grows. Even so, crystal intelligence decays, too.

I always found that a poor justification for shitting on looks, like it's somehow shallow to enjoy appearance. There's no real difference between looks and intelligence aside from what one feels they personally benefit the most from. There's no virtue there, only selfishness, either way.

And more importantly, no, crystal intelligence doesn't fade, (maybe would if you have dementia or alzheimer) but at the time you have dementia... Your looks will be long gone 😂

Depends on the person. They could get wacked in the head tomorrow and suddenly be dumb; and, a woman could stay reasonably attractive until she's 60+.

More, how a person defines "intelligence" which has no standardized definition complicates matters more. What are you even talking about when you say "intelligence is better than looks?"

I never said beauty is "all" that matters, but I disagree with the premise that looks are meaningless in contrast to intellect, because "beauty fades".

Is a flower worthless, because its only quality is smelling good and looking pretty, since it will fade? We're all gonna die. Everything is transitory. That doesn't take away the pleasure you obtain from looking at some nice flowers, does it? If anything, it adds to its value, because you know its going to fade.
