Why is it people say, I want honesty in a realtionship?

Because they don't. They want to be fluffed. They want you to tell them what they want to hear. "Does my butt look big in these pants?" Yes, but I like your big butt!

Not always the case. When I say I want honesty that means the harsh and brutal truth.. but people sometimes don’t feel comfortable giving it...some people do but most don’t

In some situations you might be right. I’m good at giving it and receiving it... my partner on the other hand is neither which makes things difficult...why not just be honest? If a person doesn’t like the truth they have to find a way to learn how to live with it because it is what it is... the truth @Trio57

True... but in my experience it’s been the ones I love that hurt me the most and they are also the ones I expect honesty from so it’s a gamble I guess @Trio57
