Is it wrong?

Lately I have just been thinking is it okay to give people as much as they give you? Like I have always given more and been more concerned and no one seems to do the same, its starting to irritate me so I think in order to protect myself I will only give what I get, or this being bitter?

You can't pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself and then decide how much you can give others.
