Would you take back your significant other if they admitted to cheating?

A good guy friend of mine told me his gf went out to the club, got wasted and hooked up with another guy. she told him the truth about it and he’s considering getting back together with her because he loves her and she didn’t want to break up. So i’m just curious would you take them back if they cheated and owned up to it? he’s my friend, i told him do what makes him happy but he deserves better.
