What do I say

I'm about to message my workcrush for the first time on facebook, I want to see if he landed a deal on an apartment he was looking at from a craigslist ad. Should I just start out with 'hey' or "hey did you get the apartment" or "how've you been" or wtf ever I don't know how to initiate conversations. He did tell me how to find his new facebook though, which to me is an open invitation to say hi.

Also lately, I think my 'landlord'/roomate who's been subletting to me about a year is trying to find a way out of the year's lease he just signed for the upcoming year. He asked our new move-in if he was interested in having it transferred to his name, to which he said no. I think he's in some kind of financial trouble, he's been late on a few bills lately, I hear him making phone calls to realtors asking for appraisals on 'a small weekend home'... I'm just very nervous my landlord is trying to find a way to dip :/

@ShaythePanTransMan I'm already kinda scared of coming off as pushy :/ I want to hang out with him outside work but other than giving him rides to places I can't think of an appropriate kind of thing to hang out and do.

Yeaaah housing situation is suddenly stressful, ugh again, yaay. Maybe I'll just move Mr. David in.

@ash365 You’re too sexy to worry about that. Why not talk about the apartment first and see where it goes? Don’t worry about the hangout yet. You could literally go anywhere like out to eat or if you guys like video games play those it’s a good way to get him to your apartment.

@ShaythePanTransMan Mr. David is my work crush (he started calling me Mr. Ash when he says hello in the morning, so I started calling him Mr. David). I think we could go eat, I wish he could smoke with me but he's on probation now. @ShaythePanTransMan

@ShaythePanTransMan hell yea weed is good, I just got a quarter for the week. I'm starting to feel the effects of about 5 years of light nicotine use... it's not a good feeling no. I only really smoke cigarettes if I'm out of weed for a long time.

@ShaythePanTransMan I know a few people that make nicotine a mind-over-matter thing, they have good self control. I usually do but lately at work on breaks I've been self-admittedly moody af in a self destructive way. Oh well beats drinking, and gives me a reason to let david bum cigarettes.

Yeah he is more on the masc side, mm I used to date a guy in the infantry with about the same body build I believe. Just take my word in person he comes across as sort of reserved and sweet, sometimes funny, I think he's got some of the crazies. God why do I always go for the crazies. Pic is poor representation but oh well.

@ash365 Wow. If it’s really degrading you might want to stop entirely. Getting addicted to nicotine is horrible. I know you’re not vaping, but if you were and you were addicted like I was, you would be accustomed to vaping so much you got poisoning and threw up or gulped down three glasses of water in like an hour or took off your shirt and had to put on the AC because of how much you sweated and trembled. Or the dizziness. That sucked....

@ShaythePanTransMan I've had a tiny vape and I know the feeling of nicotine overdose, it's god awful, had me puking in the toilet at work once.

I dunno don't the people you like or the people who like you usually turn out to be some kind of crazy. Most people are I guess. But some people are just... more.

The conversation has lead up to an appropriate but hard to respond to 'lol' from his end. should I come up with something else to say or abandon conversation until next in person meeting?

@ash365 Yes, it’s terrible! If you think you’ll commonly overdose on a vape maybe stick to cigarettes even though they’re much worse and more expensive

Hmm well I have depression and anxiety and out of the 20+ people I’ve dated absolutely none of them have been free of mental issues. So you know.... not that weird.

Say something else. He seems to be feeling a bit flirty or something.
