Would you expect your parent to say sorry to you when you caught them cheating with someone else?

I caught my father cheating and he called me a b*tch. But people said to me I shouldn't have interfered with his affairs. What do you think?

@Barebum61 actually it was my father who cheated and I caught him. I didn't tell mother for months until I lashed out at him.
