Is this is bad idea?

When I go on dates I usually expect the guy to make more of an effort to plan something rather than me, I like a man who takes charge when first wanting to go on a date with me? I also expect him to drive near were I live. Is this to much to ask?

A man will still expect you to drop hints, like favorite foods, what kind of movies and music you like, etc.
