Would this be considered cheating?

Over the course of the summer, I've been regularly texting this one guy that I go to school with. Now that it's summer vacation, he and I are in different countries, yet we both know that we have feelings for one another. Although it wasn't explicitly stated that we'd date when school starts again, we've already started planning things we want to do together in the fall. Later this week I'm going off on holiday with a close friend, and we have plans to go out almost every night. Would it be considered cheating if I messed around with some of the guys there? I mean we technically never decided that we were exclusive. I just don't want to hurt him.

How would you feel if he did the same? That’s going to give you the best answer as to whether it will feel like cheating to you or not.

@summersong See, I wouldn't want him to do the same, and like you said, it's not fair to hold him at a different standard.

@purpleemandem it’s also likely to make you feel bad afterwards. Just something to consider before making any decisions.
