Would this be considered cheating?

Over the course of the summer, I've been regularly texting this one guy that I go to school with. Now that it's summer vacation, he and I are in different countries, yet we both know that we have feelings for one another. Although it wasn't explicitly stated that we'd date when school starts again, we've already started planning things we want to do together in the fall. Later this week I'm going off on holiday with a close friend, and we have plans to go out almost every night. Would it be considered cheating if I messed around with some of the guys there? I mean we technically never decided that we were exclusive. I just don't want to hurt him.

The best person to answer this would be the guy himself. Maybe he wants to have some fun with other people too. Communication is key. See how he feels, and then you'll know what to do.

@purpleemandem Still worth having the discussion. You don't have to make it about you. You could just ask him what he'd do if he met someone and wanted a little fling. If he says he'd be faithful to you, that shows you what his thinking is.
