Does it need a funny intro to asking out to get a yes?

Would you say it needs an funny and easy atmosphere in order to get one to agree to a date?

@MayorOfCrushtown I meet her quite often at the grocery store and we're talking now and then. She already told me lots about herself, yet I fear receiving a no and afterwards meeting her there again. Awkward feeling, you know?

@MayorOfCrushtown I rather asked her for advice before. On the other hand I mentioned to her that I work at Domino's Pizza, making the wraps, salads and pastas there. I thought about inviting her to messaging me whenever I'm at work there and she's hungry. Then I could pay her bill on my own and get it delivered to her.
