Projected feelings?

I'm going to tell my coworker that he reminds me of a person I used to have sex with. Things are starting to feel awkward, I find myself glancing over towards him and too often I find him holding my gaze... there's no way he doesn't feel some kind of strain. I feel like I'm hiding secrets.
I'm really nervous honestly, I don't know where to begin. I'm not even sure of his sexuality, but even then..

Has anyone else experienced this, feeling attracted to someone because they resemble someone else you are or have been attracted to?

This is a really, really bad idea. Best case is that he avoids you for the rest of his career. Besides, most of us have felt attraction like you mentioned, but it's a passing thing over time, it never really sticks.

@ash365 You'd have to ask outside of work, and if he refuses, at least you won't risk your job.

@raysam363 Ugh it gets complicated there, he's currently in a youth detention center for getting caught his third time stealing, he's on work release to the job I work at. He gets out in a month anyway, ahhh.

@ash365 Best to just enjoy the feeling, think about the person that originally gave you that feeling, and move on.

This would be an inappropriate conversation in the workplace. If you feel you must have it, you might as well quit your job.

@Mamabear There are so many inappropriate conversations in my workplace I don't think anyone would notice.

That sounds like a good way to make your coworker uncomfortable.
