Where does one gain courage to step up and talk to someone?

Why can’t I find the courage!?!? All of this delay, I’m a coward😞 I don’t know if he’s single but if he is, I’d like to get there before another girl does.🙄

Why is this such a big deal to me? Why can’t I just woman up and talk to him? Instead I do the complete opposite and try to AVOID him. Like he’s made of lava. I make no sense....ugh smh what am I so afraid of!?! (Rhetorical Q, I already know the answer.)

This doesn't make you a coward at all. Don't beat yourself up. It's difficult for most people to approach someone we don't know. Maybe start with a smile and a "Hi". :) A smile can say things that words can't.

It’s very difficult to do in general but especially so when he constantly looks like he doesn’t want to be approached and talked to. Like he wants nothing to do with anyone. The very few times I’ve spoken to him though, he was pretty nice....But technically I guess that’s his job.,.I just still get scared sometimes, you know? Cause it is intimidating..I suppose now i realize how people viewed me in high school and why none of them approached me. I was the exact same way and it stopped me from meeting people.@Expired

@Sb356 I get where you're coming from. In high school, I was very isolated and didn't open myself up to being approached by people. Try your best to overcome your fear. You don't want to regret a chance not taken.

I understand. Social anxiety is a lifelong struggle. We can do things to manage it, but we never get rid of it entirely.
