Yea like others said. The dude is fucked in the head if he can't handle you having a better salary. Isn't that the equality a lot of women strive for that I read about online. You dodged a bullet for sure though he sounds like a petty person if he can't accept you for who you are.

Yes, you need to be completely free of him and stay that way.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
I have to say, it really sounds like you are dodging a bullet here.
Whew. Better to find all that out now than several years down the road. Good riddance.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Sounds like you two aren’t even a match. To say something so ugly about you because you got a better job is pure envy and insecurity on his part.

Better off without him
So, I will ask the obvious question: Why him?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Wow did you dodge a bullet.
SW-User
Tell him goodbye.

What you did there was a micro-aggression. That question is usually a sign that things are over. He felt it lol.
When a woman wants to stay, she makes plan with the man, she says things like "hey babe, I was thinking, why don't take less hours at work and go back to school to finish your degree, my salary could help for few months" or "why don't you take a loan" etc. There are so many options. That why I'm saying you weren't into that relationship anyway.
eMortal · M
@JBird you offer ideas. He doesn't listen, then you know for sure he's dead inside.
JBird · F
@eMortal I did. Told him he have options like completing his degree, taking up another job. And he started to blow up that I better leave him for another successful man. He could have told me that he was waiting for his exam results instead of being agressive
eMortal · M
@JBird okay I take back what up there. It's looks like he's working on it but he needs to communicate more. You guys are a couple he should always share his plans because they concern you! Tell him that will help him understand were you're coming from.
SW-User
Just because you earn more then him? He should be proud of you.
Kerrmit84 · 41-45, M
Sounds like his loss
poor guy didn't realize

1) you had money and wouldn't be perstering him for his
2) you might be smarter and you thought he was worth your time
3) he could burp and fart in front of you
4) he wouldn't have to worry about you having people over all the time
5) you wouldn't judge him for not being of the same faith

kind of a tool - we at SW think you're better off without him
xixgun · M
Ditch him. If he’s this insecure before you’re hitched imagine what he’ll be like after
ImKelsey · 26-30, F
A judgmental church goer? Good riddance!
Keaten · 36-40, M
I hate that for you and I hope that you are okay and I wish you the best. I don't understand how he says you're not "Lady Like". How?
donatello · 56-60, M
That dude sounds gnarly
BigRon · 41-45, M
Enjoy your freedom from this idiot.

Sounds like you definitely dodged a bullet. When someone’s a jerk before the wedding, it doesn’t improve. 🙁
Foxyfoxfox · 51-55, F
He's insecure and immature and selfish and a dick. Good riddance
Yessiuribe001 · 31-35, F
