Together after splitting up?...

Has any 2 people ever split up for however long but eventually got back together again and stayed together?...
Is this a common thing or ever happened at all?...

And if so, if any of you have, can any of you also answer how you got over your partner being with other people between when you got back together again?...

we split after a few years and stayed apart for about a year. Found each other again by accident, true coincidence in a city 1000 miles away from where we lived. Got back together. Married 30 years now. We call it fate. Oh, and talking about what we did with others is so hot....
