Should kids be prohibited from using condoms?

And/or other forms of birth control? I've heard strong opinions from each side about this. On the one hand, birth control limits pregnancy, which could be good or bad, and limits diseases. On the other, it causes side effects, is against many religions, can be uncomfortable, and may make some not as aware of the consequences of their actions. Different places have different laws about it too, like you need your parents permission to use it under a certain age. Thoughts?

I am not aware of any laws in the USA, that set an age limit for buying condoms (like tobacco or alcohol). I am also not any aware of any side effects of condoms, unless someone is allergic to a particular type of condom. As to the uncomfortable part, that's a joke, right? You can wrap a condom around a watermelon.

It does help prevent a major side effect: pregnancy and STIs.

@Northwest I'm not aware of any laws that set an age limit for condoms either but many states have laws that set an age limit for contraceptives (ie "the pill"); that was more what I was referring to in that part. There are lots of other countries with similar laws too. Also, regardless of the law, I've read several stories about parents who are against that anyway, even including some who have or would throw them away if they found them in their children's possession. And I've heard lots of times condoms are at least not as comfortable as not using them; not really a joke but probably lower on the list of considerations for most people as the other stuff.
