Should kids be prohibited from using condoms?

And/or other forms of birth control? I've heard strong opinions from each side about this. On the one hand, birth control limits pregnancy, which could be good or bad, and limits diseases. On the other, it causes side effects, is against many religions, can be uncomfortable, and may make some not as aware of the consequences of their actions. Different places have different laws about it too, like you need your parents permission to use it under a certain age. Thoughts?

This surprises me in many debates, you presented the pros and the cons like they are comparable. And I do not know if you meant that, but it does look like that. I will not even debate the religious aspect. Let's go rather into the "consequences of their actions". If someone is trying to teach kids about consequences by not giving them condoms, well I am without words how stupid that is. How about teaching them about the consequences of their actions?

So, what i am trying to say is, you have the pros and you have the really badly formulated list of "cons". And this has to be pointed out. Sex is an enjoyable, natural, consensual activity. Kids (not exactly kids, right, but teenagers) should learn about it and use all the tools that protect them and make this activity even more enjoyable.
